About Smyths Toys
Smyths Toys started in Ireland and has grown into one of the UK and Ireland’s largest toy retailers, with stores across both countries and a full online shop. The range is huge: LEGO, Barbie, Hot Wheels, Pokémon, Paw Patrol, Nerf, gaming consoles and games, outdoor and sports toys, baby essentials and prams — plus the Black Friday Top Picks that land every November. It’s the shop most parents end up in at Christmas, and the one with the biggest toy department on the high street.
What makes Smyths worth checking before you buy is the way the offers stack up: multi-buy deals like 3 for 2, money off selected lines, and gifts with purchase that only run in store. The website shows the offers on the homepage, so it’s worth a look before you head out — and the Click & Collect service means you can order online and pick it up the same day.
How to save at Smyths Toys
Start with the LEGO offer — £5 off every £50 on all LEGO sets, applied automatically, in store and online, until Monday 9 November. Then check the Black Friday Top Picks, with savings of up to 37% on selected toys. The 3 for 2 across the Crafty Co. range is good for stocking fillers, there’s £10 off select Pokémon Sleeping 45cm Plush, and buy one get one half price on the Tataba 2-in-1 Mystery Squishy. If you’re shopping in store, spend £25 on Hot Wheels and you get a free Limited Edition Hot Wheels Car. And if there’s a baby on the way, the Baby Essentials savings run to £170 — the Cybex Balios S Lux Travel System Bundle is £669.94, down from £839.94.

One last thing: the LEGO offer ends on Monday 9 November 2026, and the Black Friday Top Picks are while stocks last — the popular toys go first, every year. If you’re buying for Christmas, it’s worth ordering sooner rather than later, and checking the basket before you pay so you can see the discount has been applied.
Shopping in store has its own perks at Smyths. The free Hot Wheels car is in-store only, for a start, and there’s nothing quite like seeing a toy in person before you buy it — especially the bigger ones, like a bike or a travel system, where the size and weight matter. The staff can help with age recommendations too, which is handy if you’re buying for someone else’s child and don’t want to guess. And if you order online for Click & Collect, you can still have a look around the shop while you’re there.
If you’re buying for Christmas, the calendar matters. The LEGO offer ends on Monday 9 November, the Black Friday Top Picks are while stocks last, and the closer you get to Christmas, the more likely the popular toys are to sell out. Order early, use Click & Collect if you want to be sure of getting it, and keep the receipts: you’ve got a 14-day cooling-off period plus an additional 14 days for unwanted items, so a gift bought early can still go back if it’s the wrong one.
